The Sydney Push were a large, loose grouping of libertarians and nonconformists who talked, loved, drank and partied in the pubs of inner Sydney.
Two people in their 70s meet on a park bench at Bondi. They rediscover their connection from the 1960s, as members of the radical group The Push. They help each other take back control of their increasingly regulated lives. Full of wit, humour, and music, this play will make you laugh and cry.
The Waltz is an hilarious and thought-provoking celebration of life, as tender as it is heart wrenching. Cole, who is well known for his unique voice and ability to mix comedy and tragedy, says the script was born from the idea that you’re never too old to be young at heart.
The play is about life and never letting your inner child die. You’re never too old to grow and have fun.
