Since making The B at Queanbeyan Performing Arts Centre their performance home, the Blamey Street Big Band has enjoyed wonderful success as they have presented concerts featuring swing versions of the music of The Beatles, James Bond, Disney and ABBA– and in May this year a near sell-out with Blamey Swings Rock, an evening of toe-tapping interpretations of everything from ‘Love is in the Air’ and ‘Howzat’ to Led Zepplin’s ‘Stairway to Heaven’ and AC/DC’s ‘Back in Black’.

Now to the next musical adventure – Blamey Swings the Rat Pack at the QPAC – showcasing tunes like ‘Fly Me to the Moon’, ‘I Get a Kick out of You’ and ‘Beyond the Sea’ from the Classic Rats (Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr) to ‘Feelin’ Good’, ‘It Had to Be You’ and ‘Sway’ from the New Age Rats (Michael Buble, Harry Connick Jr and Robbie Williams.
