Garry Starr is the alter-ego of Australian/British actor and comedian Damien Warren-Smith. Having struggled for much of his life to stick at anything, Damien discovered there was much hilarity to be found (for everyone besides himself and his long-suffering Mother) in attempting to do everything at once for the sake of art. Thus, Garry Starr Performs Everything was born.

Developed as a comedic solo act, Garry Starr takes the audience through every performance style he can think of, hoping to reignite the passion for the performing arts, thus saving theatre. Garry steps through each scene with a different genre: Shakespeare, Pinter, Butoh, Noh, Ballet, Burlesque, and Circus, to name a few. While also weaving in audience participation, Garry takes the audience on a journey from start to finish in this feel-good show.

The show was directed by Cal McCrystal (Paddington 1&2, The Mighty Boosh, The Amazing Spider-man) and premiered at the Adelaide Fringe Festival in 2018, where it picked up two awards and critical acclaim before transferring to the prestigious Malthouse Theatre during the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Here Damien was nominated for both Best Newcomer and the Golden Gibbo (Best Independent Artist).
