Wandering Hearts
Eleanor Lyons, Soprano and Vladimir Fanshil conductor pianist
On Friday 27th November The Q will present internationally acclaimed soprano Eleanor Lyons and her conductor/pianist husband Vladimir Fanshil.
The couple are usually based in Vienna and Jetset around the world to perform, but for now, due to COVID they are happily stranded in Australia and have the unique opportunity to give recitals together. Eleanor was in Australia to perform with Simone Young and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra followed by her critically praised debut with Opera Australia as Donna Anna, shortly before covid lockdown began. The concert features highlights of Italian opera as well as undiscovered treasures and it is presented in a fresh, interactive style with both artists narrating the music, reciting poetry and involving the audience on the musical journey.
‘This opportunity to see two world class artists, at the peak of their careers, in such intimate surroundings was something that few, who were lucky enough to experience it, are likely to forget.’ Arts Review, Bill Stephens OAM
‘I can’t tell you how special this concert was!!! It was amazing, emotional and captivating.’ Private comment from a Cowra audience member and director at Cowra City Council
