Jess Hitchcock Unbreakable
Join award-winning singer & songwriter Jess Hitchcock for a beautifully intimate acoustic concert of songs from her new album, Unbreakable.
Driven by her passion for music and her people, her original songs range from intimate soul ballads to upbeat rhythmic country pop songs, telling a story of resilience and hope despite seemingly insurmountable challenges.
An Indigenous performer, composer and singer-songwriter with family origins from Saibai in the Torres Straits and Papua New Guinea, Jess has worked extensively with Short Black Opera, as well as performing in Opera Australia’s production of The Rabbits. Over the last six years she has been touring with Kate Miller-Heidke and in 2019 joined her at the Eurovision song contest in Israel. The end of 2019 saw Jess join Paul Kelly and Kate Miller-Hiedke on Paul’s Making Gravy Tour. Jess was a featured artist in Paul Kelly’s set, leading to the release of their track, ‘Everyday My Mother’s Voice’. They also collaborated on Channel 9 and Frontier Touring’s Music From The Home Front in 2021, where she sang a duet version of ‘Sorrento Moon’ alongside Tina Arena. In 2020 Jess received an ARIA-PPCA – Australia Council First Nations Sound Recording Grant to record her album Unbreakable.
Don’t miss out on an evening with one of Australia’s most exciting new songwriters and mesmerising vocalists.
